Bacon & Freud exhibition

Rome Chiosto del Bramante from 26 September 2019 to 23 February 2019 Bacon, Freud, the London school at the Chiostro del Bramante Two painting giants, Bacon and Freud, for the first time together in an exhibition in Italy. One of the most fascinating, extensive and significant chapters of world art with the London School. An extraordinary city in a revolutionary period. Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, British art in over seven decades (from 1945 to 2004), the spirit of a city on display at the Cloister of Bramante in Rome, curated by Elena Crippa, Curator of Modern and Contemporary British Art, Tate . Thanks to an extraordinary loan from Tate, along with Bacon and Freud, Michael Andrews, Frank Auerbach, Leon Kossoff and Paula Rego, artists who marked an era, inspired generations, used painting to tell the story of life. Over 45 works reveal, in a direct and shocking way, the human condition made of fragility, energy, opposites, excesses, evasions, truth, no filter, in a historical moment, ours, so rich in filters. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with Tate, London.

VALADIER EXHIBITION

Eternal beauty: an exhibition-event dedicated to Canova's bond with the city of Rome which, between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, was his inexhaustible source of inspiration. A relationship, the one between the sculptor and the city, which emerges in a myriad of unique and unrepeatable aspects.

Rome Film Festival 2019

Rome Auditorium Parco della Musica The 14th Rome Film Fest will be held from 17th to 27th October 2019 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica and in other venues throughout the city. The Auditorium Parco della Musica has been the heart of the Rome Film Fest since 2006 with the red carpet and the screening rooms. The event hosted a large and challenging programme of screenings, master classes, tributes, retrospectives, panels, and special events. The Fest will involve many other locations in Rome.

CONCERT IN CARACALLA'S THERMS SUMMER EDITION

CONCERT IN THE THERMAL BATH OF CARACALLA SUMMER EDITION FROM 21 JUNE TO 07 AUGUST 2019 The next summer season of the Opera House in Caracalla promises to be full of emotions. Three titles in the program, in addition to the now usual Extra already announced. It starts with Francesco De Gregori who will open the 2019 season on June 11th in a brand new style, accompanied for the first time by a great orchestra, with De Gregori & Orchestra - Greatest live hits. Following a great return to the ancient Baths: Ennio Morricone will direct his music for the cinema in six extraordinary concerts on 15, 16, 18, 19, 21 and 22 June. The concerts, which are part of his "60 Years of Music" World Tour, will represent the last, unmissable occasion in which the Maestro will play his beloved music before enjoying a well-deserved retirement. In July the usual summer appointment with the Roberto Bolle and Friends gala, on the 9th and 10th, remains an unprecedented moment for appreciation and presence. On 20 and 21 July it will be the turn of Mark Knopfler and his band. Listening to this great live artist will be an unforgettable experience, enhanced by the unmistakable charm of Roman ruins. On 22 July the great pianists and composers Stefano Bollani and Chucho Vald├ęs will meet to play together in a new and unique project without precedent. In the exceptional context of the Baths of Caracalla the two artists will start a tour, Piano a Piano. From Cuba to Rome, which will continue throughout the world. Ninety minutes of improvisation destined to create a musical show of incredible impact for the public. The operatic and ballet billboard will offer three titles of great appeal to the public. There will be a new set-up of Verdi's Aida, a melodrama that is very suitable for the open and imposing space of the ancient Baths, which was missing from Caracalla since 2011. Two more will be added: La traviata and ballet Romeo and Juliet.
